about gets, anime fashion & loveil silky beige

Another update this month~

Hello everyone! I'm glad my number of followers is increasing and always happy to follow some of you guys back, I especially enjoy it if we can talk through comments and get to know each other. So as always, thank you very much and please never hesitate to contace me ❤
The past weeks I have been both, lucky and unlucky so my mood was always between 'kind of down' and 'randomly happy for no reason that I recall'. I have been lucky with some of my gets, although I got the Skin79 Diamond absolute total BB cream that is just way too dark for me. I also always thought that because I am not asian I have a skin with pink undertones but even Missha #13 is kind of too red for me, so I assume I should go for make-up suited for skin with yellow undertones. That looks way more normal on me, I think. (Ah, if anyone wants that BB cream, feel free to write me about it. I'll let it go for a few Euro)

Other than that, I received my tutuHA cross necklace I ordered some time ago
(now I am craving for the fernopaa one though because it's longer, bigger and more badass!)

I deceided to go for black even though I am wearing a lot of black, I also wear a lot of white and want to create a nice contrast~ But then why, all of a sudden did I buy this? I often had the chance when I was traveling to Japan but somehow it just became interesting to me now... and that is because...

Yes. No. Yes, pretty much, I am just a fangirl after all (TT) 

I really just bought it cause I liked the chain so much. I always liked Yu-Gi-Oh when I was younger and recently watched some old episodes in Japanese (that kind of weren't as cool as I remember them from my childhood days though). But after that I gave the 2nd movie a try and then I watched Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's which (after the initial few episodes) became extremely addicting. And then I wondered... isn't gyaru fashion extremely connected to anime fashion? I started thinking that I probably always wanted to wear this kind of clothes because they look anime-like and somewhere deep within I wanted to be like the people I admired during my childhood.

Look at the pictures above. They style is kind of similar, isn't it?

Is that maybe where gyaru fashion got a lot of inspiration from? If I look at brands like tutuHA, fernopaa & d.i.a. I can easily see that those designs show fashion like the one in Yu-Gi-Oh, other animes might be connected to different brands.

More than that, looking at Mai Valentine I realize why I am craving long blonde hair, hot pants, OTK boots and chokers! I was never fond of her but lately I realized that the person I became is pretty much like her, not only on the outside. She is taller than most guys in the show and strives to become smarter and stronger than anyone else and most important than all the guys (strong feministic aura, unlike in many other anime) while she often feels lost and overwhelmed. Indeed I think in Yu-Gi-Oh and Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's there are women, especially blonde ones, who are typically strong women - even their Japanese voices are rather deep and they show a lot of self-confidence.

Thinking about that, I really start to realize that especially blonde hair gives off a very feministic feeling, at least in anime & manga culture. 

Let me tell you though, in real life in Japan feminism is more twisted and blonde hair isn't always a sign for someone with a strong sense of feminism, actually almost never. It's more of a promiscuous behaviour thing only (remember a certain section in the egg magazine? yeah) and most Japanese women seem to be misunderstanding feminism. I wish there was more blonde girls like in these animes.

Enough of that though! I have already written about feminism in Japan in one of my term papers and will most likely write a bit about it in a future paper too, so I will save my breath. Here I actually wanted to talk about how close anime fashion is to gyaru fashion and only give my readers a bit of an intellectual approach to feminism in anime compared to feminism in real life.

So, I am sure a lot of us girls who like gyaru fashion also like(d) some or one certain anime in their childhood or still do - and if you think about the fashion in that anime, isn't that probably why we crave all the clothing? Maybe that is our generation, the anime generation, the gyaru generation, the one that created a new fashion that slowly graduated from cosplay and other subcultures to a casual gyaru wear.

This entry is getting long! I wanted to post about way more things but this will do for now. At last I want to present a few pictures of myself because I for once dolled up & wore lenses again. Compared to my iPod, my Sony Ericsson phone still takes the prettiest pictures and makes my features look so soft & nice ❤ (My beloved flip phone that I prefer to any smartphone! I even found out I can use it as a remote for my notebook!! Never getting up to press 'play' or 'pause' again while watching 5D's~)

And again, blurred photos alwasy turn out to be the best... or is it that I like them because they are blurred?

I was wearing my loveil silky beige (by Koda Kumi produced) lenses for the first time here! Unfortunately they weren't as comfortable as I expected them to be. I wanted to wash one of them with my Opti free pure moist contact lens solution that helped me a lot with other daily disposable lenses but putting a few drops of that solution on a silky beige lens made it unwearable ヽ(`Д´)ノ 

What the hell though! My eye kept watering when I tried to put the lens in that I had cleaned with the Opti free solution ... which I don't understand because I know they sell the same brand of contact lens solution in Japan too! I cleaned it several times, with breaks inbetween for my eye to rest, but it kept giving me the feeling as if there was something stuck between my eye and the lens. So I took a new lens and didn't clean it with that solution and it was okay.
Surprisingly I also read a new review about these in Japanese were someone described the same feeling I had with the lens that I tried to clean. I suppose they are not the best lenses.

However... even the two not damaged lenses were not exteremely comfortable. Somehow, while I am in Japan contact lenses are always way easier to wear for me. Here my eyes dry out rather quickly.

They are pretty nice but I wish they were a bit more comfortable. I still can't get over how they reacted with the cleaning solution. I will try these more in the future and see how good they really are.

Hello and welcome to April, dear blog readers!

 How is everyone? Feeling like spring is near now?
I do hope it is, I am used to warm spring weather during my birthday month☆

First things first though: I am totally happy with how this year started! I had some important decisions to make and with one decision I am definitely happy now (I decided to not do an exchange year abroad, in Japan) because it was rewarded!

Oh my god I still can't believe it because when they have announced some kind of tour this year after the last final live, I was saying on tumblr 'so please can this be in September so I can see them'

.........I was so so so so so so overwhelmed when I realized they are coming in September(!) to Germany(!!)

Anyway, enough Gaze spam now, a bit more will follow later on haha. Next topic: since I was not going to Japan during this year's semster break, I decided to do something 'fun' -cough cough cough- hard work is not fun actually I already wanted to do for ages: changing my room

I decided to have black walls! And that's the main thing I changed.

I was tired of seeing always the same light brown or white shade of walls and all those boring patterns so I decided to get something unconventional: black wallpaper with a crocodile pattern. First I thought it would get too dark but since the floor is light it turned out just nicely. However there are some imperfections because it was really a lot of work to even out the wall and I didn't want to rub them with sandpaper until I am old and grey (´Д｀；) 

You can mostly see the imperfections only where the spotlights or camera flash hits the wall so it's not that bad in real life. The atmosphere is better when it's rather dark anyway!

I haven't bought anything since the last album (Division, still unwrapped) last summer in Japan where I by coincidence found 6,666yen to be in my wallet just before the release day haha, so most is older magazines, old CDs and CDs bought during my year in Japan 2010 and two DVDs. And some extra goods~

My winter wardrobe! I stole the clothing rack from my mum.

Other than that there is just a TV (not far from the Gaze shrine & where my bags rest) and a couch on the right of the black shelf. I need to unpack my moving box and want to hang some posters, probably over the couch and somewhere over the Gazette shrine? Not sure yet. And that's all! I didn't and won't buy any new furniture (apart from maybe a different carpet) so it's rather modest but still I am very satisfied with the result. What do you think of the dark ressurection? ( ´艸｀)

I felt like buying a lot of different stuff lately (fashion goods), I probably bought too much. I am sure I spent more last month since in the 5 months before that all together! So hopefully the things will arrive soon and I can make a blog post about something interesting again, maybe with an updated room too. Why are powerstrips so damn expensive though ughh

Sleepy time boyfriend & how to become a #1 host

Hello everyone and thank you for all the people reading this blog first of all!
I am glad if it manages to keep boredom away from you or is some kind of informing about anything.

I have been wanting to make a post about games & apps since a while so here I present you Sleepy time boyfriend, a quite amusing iPhone app for those who often stay up at night wondering about several things and not being able to sleep haha. A virtual boyfriend to say some nice things to you right before bed-time. And during bed-time. And after bed-time, when you wake up!

Awkwardly my nose just started bleeding... So, here. Left is the 'main screen'. You can slide through the characters and choose which guy you want. There's a total of 12 guys.
Why I like this guy? Cause he has the voice of Kazuma Kiryu from Yakuza!! (〃＾▽＾〃)
Obviously the others also have voices from different famous anime characters but I don't know any of those (that's because I am the girl who only likes one or two animes at most lol).

Unfortunately there is only a few phrases and then some you can additionally purchase but what I particularly like is the fact that you can set an alarm and the guy of your choice will gently wake you up. That's just super sweet, isn't it? Somehow the soft voice always made me wake up in a very calm mood. But I also fell asleep again a few times... so together with an additional alarm, this might be a good choice for people who need a 'motivation' to get up in the morning! (and don't have a boyfriend to wake them up lol). Let me spam you with a few more pictures~

The kind of words every girl wants to hear before sleeping, no? (TT) Ah, so charming. Why can't real guys be like that? Though there's a few guys who just weren't my type at all, I hope you'll give this a try and find the one you like. After a while it might easily get boring but the alarm function is still sweet.


The next one that you all should know about is one of the most amusing aspects in Yakuza 2, not only that you have the chance to manage a hostess club in a side mission (which is also really fun, you can change the interior design and the menu/prices, motivate the staff etc) but you can enter another side mission where you get to be a host! And you need to become the #1 host to beat the current one and trigger a certain event where the top host is decided by a host competition.

Basically through the whole side mission you will have to charm girls and make them spend money on alcohol. A lot of money. If they spend enough money or if you even make them get the most expensive champagne bottle (they'll get a special champagne call!), you will win the part of the side mission, get paid and your boss will call you again later for the next customer (who you will have to make spend more and more and more and more)... as boring as the system is, it was very interesting to find out what girls want to hear haha. And the way you have to present yourself, for every girl a different character, it's fun. In the beginning you get to work together with another host before you get your own customers (who will come back to see you again if you fail to make them spend enough money).

You can see the amount they have spent and the amount they should spend before they leave at right upper corner. And the hearts show how much the girl is fond of you... so if she's really fond of you, she will spend more! That is the rule but unlike the champagne call, it is probably not just as in reality haha.

There's one more club called Stardust you can go to as a customer, but you never really get to sit with the guys of course. A pity, but two hosts there (Yuya and Kazuki, of whose the latter is adorable) participate in the main story so you will get to visit the club and them more or less often.

Even though I don't like the main romance story in this game (and how it ends), I can only recommend this game for everyone who ever wanted to be a host haha. Or go to a host or hostess club. You will also go to OSAKA (!!) in Yakuza 2 so it's definitely worth it to try this game.

On a side note, a remake of Yakuza and Yakuza 2 came out, so maybe you should try those out if you can't think of a good game to play and you like one with a good story that is not a typical Japanese RPG.

Yay. Now that I should study I keep updating!

Either way I received my new daily disposable lenses and am super excited to try them even though at the same time I feel like I will save them up for special occassions. They seem so gorgeous and I hope they don't dry out my eyes as I have dry eyes a lot lately. Maybe I should stop using yearly circle lenses at all.

Koda Kumi seems to mostly promote the colour 'midnight amber' (... or umber, as it says, haha) but I got the 'silky beige' ones. I heard egg model Manya uses these a lot too. I believe that most models care about high quality lenses a lot. Doubt anyone of them wears yearly lenses for a whole year.

Free eyedrops, yay~

I've read these are 'extremely easy-to-use one-day disposable lenses, suitable even for the working lady who does not use colored contact lenses on a daily basis' haha. I guess they are worth a try because most people don't wear (and should not wear) big sized circle lenses everyday. I'll try these as soon as possible.
