ageha 1day lenses, purikua & substories

I should be doing more for my thesis but instead I am here, and I decided to blog.
Here we go, my procrastination blogging comes again. And I am picking very random topics, too!

It's weird but since I came back to Germany and did not go to my parents place yet but stayed at my apartment dorm in Bonn, it has been so quiet and peaceful and some days I woke up and felt like I was in Tokyo. A year or so ago I felt the same before falling asleep in this apartment.
But now everything is just so peaceful, there is no stress, I am very very slowly working on my thesis peacefully (I've read like 40 pages so far /nervous laughter) and every now and then I met a friend and had just a great time talking. ... Life is so different if you don't live with your parents and do not hear much from them.

My friend and I met casually and I told her to try the wine I bought for the casual dinner we had and she just drank it right out of the bottle haha. No we did not do anything special but hanging out casually, last-minute, that is what I miss a lot in Tokyo and generally in my life!

Enough of Germany and some more of Japan. I tried to not spend too much money but ended up somehow broke just paying for food and transportation and all kind of things I actually needed. Then, one night when my friend and I decided to hang out and another male friend joined, I ended up leaving my coloured contact lenses at that one friend's place because actually he did not have anything to store them because he wore 1day lenses... ah he gave me a pair of his 1day lenses that were actually too wear for my eyes but at least I could see something and then I went to ALTA in Shinjuku to buy myself some 1 day lenses for the rest of my stay in Japan. I had been wanting to try the Ageha 1day lenses for some time and decided for the brown version which claims to make you look ハーフ... half-japanese and half-foreign. Obviously that doesn't work for foreigners. For some reason the people asking me if I am half-japanese/half-something else have increased incredibly though. Lately it happens almost on a daily basis, depending on the make-up and lenses I wear and in which light/scenery they see me... I suppose it is because of my Japanese skills and they want to be nice? I am a bit proud of my Japanese skills though there is still so damn much I don't understand haha. But enough of that.

1,680yen for those babes!
5 pairs... of which I have already used up 2, 1 is not shown because it was and is still in my handbag for the 'just in case'-case that of course did not happen again after that one night haha.

The diameter is sooooo small somehow! Somehow they made me look... well... I don't know, foxy? I thought I looked so vamp-ish but at the same time it suited my natural dark-brown eye-colour very well. When I was wearing my Garula clothes it totally totally totally matched my animal-print, slightly d.i.a.-ish but more classy style!
The diameter though!! But they were extremely comfortable, I also went clubbing with them.

I will give you some purikura with them because I actually did not have time to take selfies with them on. Yes you read that right. That is how little time I had when I was signed up to that University program.

Small diameter, right? My eyes are sort of big so they sort of do not even look like circle lenses and give me a very natural look. I wish they were just a tiny bit bigger but the fact that I can wear them really long is of course making up for it a bit. I am not sure how much I like these... But judge for yourself whether you think those are worth buying!

Speaking of purikura now. What happened to all the machines?! I really don't like how I look in the first purikura and I actually over-edited most of the pictures (one of my eyes/pupils was bigger than the other in some angles!) because those damn machines made my face so full of shadows... what happened to the machines that make you look Ageha-model like? What happened to super-kawaii light skin purikura? What happened to kira kira stamps? o(;△;)o

What is happening to the Shibuya subculture? I miss the 2010~2011 times! At least they still shoot from above for the full-body shot but everything else is becoming so natural, soon we can take just simple pictures with our smartphones and purikura-like cam apps...

Ah well, besides I am a bit a bit upset guys which might be nothing too new. Lately I think I will never get along with Japanese guys, first breaking up with my boyfriend, then having this trouble with the guy I met last summer... well, he never had time and wanted me to come to Shinjuku at like midnight to meet him! When I didn't, he was upset and called and messaged me everyday to make sure I had time to meet him the week after... only so he could stand me up!
What the hell is wrong with Japanese guys? ((>д<)) It's like when you do something to them that isn't the best thing to do (OR THAT SIMPLY IS SOMETHING YOU WANT AND NOT THE GUY WANTS) he pays you back 3 times worse with his narcisstic humiliating behaviour. I don't know how to deal with men. I am attracted to them but they have such downsides I can hardly accept.
I am naturally forgiving but if someone is trying to use me, I can't let that happen. And it seems Japanese men (especially the young, eye-candy type...) are just generally using women?

But I am not their typical gyaru or whatever Japanese girls they are used to, running after them just to get a bit of their attention, I'd rather stay single and go out with my great friends then letting men take advantage of me. Hell, guys aren't worth it. He isn't worth it. He sends me those weird attention seeking mails and messages on LINE, calls me but hangs up after a few seconds because he gets bored. He gets bored right away, you know?Or he at least acts like that. And he has always at least 10 girls (mostly gyaru) commenting on his timeline updates, means he probably talks to 100. Ah, damn those players. I wish I could just show him what kind of good time he is missing. But oh well. Even though I am always too nice and forgiving, my time will come eventually.

Maybe someday I am going to understand guys and find a proper way to react to it. Unlike commonly believed in Japan I try my hardest to realize I am still young with my 23 years (and soon 24), I still have the best time and the best experiences ahead, we all do. Besides that I am having a really time enjoying myself while being single. So with that I hope my readers don't have to deal too much with jerks and are enjoying their time too, haha. Keep yourself away from trouble if you can, lovely readers~

up & date, being a playgirl

Wow, we are already in June. I think I can't really make more than one blog post a month because the days are passing so damn fast. How are all my dear followers?~

In Germany it's been really sunny and warm the past week before we were surprised by storms towards the weekend. And now there's three weeks of the semester left. I am planning to miss class once more here and there because I am plagued by pollen and some other health-condition things a lot and then it's going to get rough and serious for me with exams. Please pray for me! haha
So what's new? Most of my days I've been spending in University and I guess attending class and actually listening to what is being said and trying to memorize it already is like studying for exams so I hope nothing will get me in trouble this semester.

Besides that I've been using my PSP that I bought used a few months ago. I feel so lucky that people want to get rid of their old stuff and buy all the new things, so I got my PSP 3000 with a memory card for 35€ and it looks almost like new! Now I've been playing a lot of games (why did I write guys first) and of course I've been feeding my YGO 5D's addiction~~

Let me express my feelings just how I express them on tumblr

Since the English version did not really work properly for me, I switched to the Japanese version that also has the voice output during the actual duels and it's soooo fun to play, damn. I love this show and the game just for the fun and detailed characters! I wish the motorbike fun wasn't missing though. Also learning some Japanese with that version I have though sometimes I am too lazy to read all of it...

So besides.
... After like, almost a year, I had a date again. I love having dates but I rarely agree to some I guess (not that I get so many offers either haha but you know, the usual idiots here and there).
I decided to go there cause I thought I'll just give it a chance and well, it was okay though I was exhausted. And bored of the exhaustion that was maybe caused by boredom and my period. But I had a chance to dress up again. I tried to go for a more natural make-up and I bought 'natural' lashes to wear on a daily basis.
My eyes are itchy lately because of pollen so I cannot wear the heavy make-up I like lately (TT)
I've also woken up with either swollen or itchy eyes a lot of times. Another reason why I really feel it's a pain to live here. In winter it's too cold to dress up and in summer I can't do make up properly because of my allergies, ugh! Can't wait to be back in Tokyo. Living here has become really bothersome to me and I can only find myself trying to cope with it

Well anyway, here are some pictures of how I styled for the date. It's really boring and natural but I thought for Germany that's just alright. And I often feel way to overdressed with 'huge' lashes.

With lenses and without lenses. It looks so natural to me haha, almost like I wore no make up! My eyes were so red, I had to photoshop the left picture a little and you can see the difference on the right picture. But seriously, I thought circle lenses make you look younger. Don't you think those make me look older?!

And yes, as you can see I ordered some cheap real hair exte (~26€) from ebay and they turned out to be good quality. I think they won't last me too long but I don't wear them a lot anyway so maybe they will last for some time. I sew all the clip-in parts together to make one big clip-in part out of it. 70g seemed to be enough for my rather thin, layered hair.

So that's all for today, dears. I will try to post soon again. Since the semester is ending in three weeks, you will surely find me procrastinating here because I will not want to study haha. Take care everyone!

about gets, anime fashion & loveil silky beige

Another update this month~
Hello everyone! I'm glad my number of followers is increasing and always happy to follow some of you guys back, I especially enjoy it if we can talk through comments and get to know each other. So as always, thank you very much and please never hesitate to contace me ❤
The past weeks I have been both, lucky and unlucky so my mood was always between 'kind of down' and 'randomly happy for no reason that I recall'. I have been lucky with some of my gets, although I got the Skin79 Diamond absolute total BB cream that is just way too dark for me. I also always thought that because I am not asian I have a skin with pink undertones but even Missha #13 is kind of too red for me, so I assume I should go for make-up suited for skin with yellow undertones. That looks way more normal on me, I think. (Ah, if anyone wants that BB cream, feel free to write me about it. I'll let it go for a few Euro)

Other than that, I received my tutuHA cross necklace I ordered some time ago
(now I am craving for the fernopaa one though because it's longer, bigger and more badass!)

I deceided to go for black even though I am wearing a lot of black, I also wear a lot of white and want to create a nice contrast~ But then why, all of a sudden did I buy this? I often had the chance when I was traveling to Japan but somehow it just became interesting to me now... and that is because...

Yes. No. Yes, pretty much, I am just a fangirl after all (TT)

I really just bought it cause I liked the chain so much. I always liked Yu-Gi-Oh when I was younger and recently watched some old episodes in Japanese (that kind of weren't as cool as I remember them from my childhood days though). But after that I gave the 2nd movie a try and then I watched Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's which (after the initial few episodes) became extremely addicting. And then I wondered... isn't gyaru fashion extremely connected to anime fashion? I started thinking that I probably always wanted to wear this kind of clothes because they look anime-like and somewhere deep within I wanted to be like the people I admired during my childhood.
Look at the pictures above. They style is kind of similar, isn't it?

Is that maybe where gyaru fashion got a lot of inspiration from? If I look at brands like tutuHA, fernopaa & d.i.a. I can easily see that those designs show fashion like the one in Yu-Gi-Oh, other animes might be connected to different brands.

Mai Valentine (Yu-Gi-Oh): blonde curls, drives a car first. rides a bike later (connection to bosozoku culture?)

More than that, looking at Mai Valentine I realize why I am craving long blonde hair, hot pants, OTK boots and chokers! I was never fond of her but lately I realized that the person I became is pretty much like her, not only on the outside. She is taller than most guys in the show and strives to become smarter and stronger than anyone else and most important than all the guys (strong feministic aura, unlike in many other anime) while she often feels lost and overwhelmed. Indeed I think in Yu-Gi-Oh and Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's there are women, especially blonde ones, who are typically strong women - even their Japanese voices are rather deep and they show a lot of self-confidence.

Sherry LeBlanc (Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's): blonde biker, never showing as much skin, also taller than most guys in 5D's

Thinking about that, I really start to realize that especially blonde hair gives off a very feministic feeling, at least in anime & manga culture.
Let me tell you though, in real life in Japan feminism is more twisted and blonde hair isn't always a sign for someone with a strong sense of feminism, actually almost never. It's more of a promiscuous behaviour thing only (remember a certain section in the egg magazine? yeah) and most Japanese women seem to be misunderstanding feminism. I wish there was more blonde girls like in these animes.

Enough of that though! I have already written about feminism in Japan in one of my term papers and will most likely write a bit about it in a future paper too, so I will save my breath. Here I actually wanted to talk about how close anime fashion is to gyaru fashion and only give my readers a bit of an intellectual approach to feminism in anime compared to feminism in real life.

So, I am sure a lot of us girls who like gyaru fashion also like(d) some or one certain anime in their childhood or still do - and if you think about the fashion in that anime, isn't that probably why we crave all the clothing? Maybe that is our generation, the anime generation, the gyaru generation, the one that created a new fashion that slowly graduated from cosplay and other subcultures to a casual gyaru wear.

This entry is getting long! I wanted to post about way more things but this will do for now. At last I want to present a few pictures of myself because I for once dolled up & wore lenses again. Compared to my iPod, my Sony Ericsson phone still takes the prettiest pictures and makes my features look so soft & nice (My beloved flip phone that I prefer to any smartphone! I even found out I can use it as a remote for my notebook!! Never getting up to press 'play' or 'pause' again while watching 5D's~)

And again, blurred photos alwasy turn out to be the best... or is it that I like them because they are blurred?

I was wearing my loveil silky beige (by Koda Kumi produced) lenses for the first time here! Unfortunately they weren't as comfortable as I expected them to be. I wanted to wash one of them with my Opti free pure moist contact lens solution that helped me a lot with other daily disposable lenses but putting a few drops of that solution on a silky beige lens made it unwearable ヽ(`Д´)ノ

What the hell though! My eye kept watering when I tried to put the lens in that I had cleaned with the Opti free solution ... which I don't understand because I know they sell the same brand of contact lens solution in Japan too! I cleaned it several times, with breaks inbetween for my eye to rest, but it kept giving me the feeling as if there was something stuck between my eye and the lens. So I took a new lens and didn't clean it with that solution and it was okay.
Surprisingly I also read a new review about these in Japanese were someone described the same feeling I had with the lens that I tried to clean. I suppose they are not the best lenses.
However... even the two not damaged lenses were not exteremely comfortable. Somehow, while I am in Japan contact lenses are always way easier to wear for me. Here my eyes dry out rather quickly.

Comfort ★★★☆
Colour ★★★★
Overall ★★★☆

They are pretty nice but I wish they were a bit more comfortable. I still can't get over how they reacted with the cleaning solution. I will try these more in the future and see how good they really are.

hair & fashion predictions

It's been a while again...
and I didn't make outfit shots or anything. Even though it was warm for a few days (; ;)
But, university starts again from tomorrow & I am moving into my new apartment from today. I still want to buy so much stuff for it, like curtains that are not red haha. Red curtains seem terrifying to me (I have them now, as standard equipment for the apartment). I will see when I can make it... maybe designing my room will be a birthday present to myself haha.

Onto the topic! I recently noticed a lot of fashionable girls have blue streaks or blue hair~
Which is my fashion prediction number 1 for summer! While I was in Tokyo, I didn't see anyone with blue hair but somehow it got to me that I just HAD to have blue streaks. I wanted to have more than just two but one was 430yen which is... expensive x_x My last exte place did not charge extra for differently coloured strands.

Anyway, this was before I did the model job, my hair wasn't that long and I had 'only' 50 exte in (つけほうだい). (Excuse the facemask in the pics... I was, as always, lacking a mirror in my room).

The blue strands were still standing out a bit. But after they put in about 15 or 20 more exte for the shooting, you basically could not see the blue anymore. I am thinking of cutting some of the exte out myself, even though it looks nice and full now (volume~), they are just a bother and the ends became frizzy already.

So, I am also thinking of buying blue clip-in exte. But not sure yet since I know I don't usually put in clip-in extensions, they are a bother to me and it wouldn't look good if I don't have long hair, I think. After all I think I should have just gotten more of those blue strands but 430yen for one is just way too much ; ;

Still I think blue hair is going to be a big trend for summer. Blue eyeliner (the glittery one especially) was already really popular last year, some might remember?

I do believe this summer it will be coming, too! As well as blue lenses, blue nails and blue fashion items, like Cocona/Serina combines them. It looks so bright and cheerful, doesn't it?
PLUS, it gives a nice variety to the common pink colours shown mostly by Ageha/Egg or adult-like (大人っぽく) all black/white coordinates featured mostly in Jelly or Happie Nuts.

The last week that I was in Tokyo I saw a lot of shop staff from Shinjuku Alta who wore exactly the same lenses as me (shown here)! I was totally surprised, but they are pretty and comfortable lenses after all. And I got mine for only 13$ on sale (*☻-☻*)
It definitely showed me: Blue is coming to rock this year!

 About the DON'Ts:

- don't choose dark blue
instead of brighthing your style up, it will give you a goth kind of look

- don't combine blue with too much pink
pink lips are fine but besides, choose either or (unless you are airming for the Harajuku decora look?)

- don't overdo the blue
personally I think two-toned hair, blue & blonde for example, is too much. same goes for all-blue coordinates
the easiest way to not overdo it might be to choose accessories that are blue~

- be careful with blue jeans & blue
might look awkward sometimes if you combine too much blue with blue jeans

Other than that, please enjoy a colourful summer this year~

ちゅうして♥

Happy New Year everyone!
Did you have a good last year? Remember we can only learn from our mistakes and from what we found out about what we want and what we don't want. I am sure this one is going to be a good year if we work hard for it!

My updates are sort of irregular again... that is because I made an effort for university, for once haha.
I finished a paper for my IT & presentation class last week which was actually about Japanese women's mass magazines and their influences on the self-awareness of Japanese women (mostly of the 20th century, but in contrast to today's women, too). It was sort of intersting, and to be honest, I have a whole new image of Japanese women and Japanese magazines for women now.

Anyway, so I bought this mag on the way to university two weeks ago, and I do not even regret it!

I always needed a pouch like that because in my old cosmetic bag is not enough space for everything I have now (I now use the old bag for items like shampoo, creams and stuff you need for travels).
I loved the picks in this issue, especially Yumachi's Garula picks are awesome, I can't wait to check that brand out! I hope they have slightly bigger pants than d.i.a. ( ; ; )
They also featured my Gilfy short pants I bought last summer in Japan and this time there wasn't the awkward エッチ-section, I am relieved because it sort of bothers me. Might be a special yearly issue?

Speaking of new brands and picks though, I will probably be in Japan again in February. First I wasn't sure about going because I can't stay long again but now that I know there is people waiting for me, I think I will just go! In case anyone of my readers would like to meet up over there, I would be glad if you let me know ♪

Apart from that, I have some new lenses I wore out for Christmas & New Year's a lot. I like how opaque lenses give dark-eyed persons a totally different look~
Now I only need new clothes so bad. Still saving up though, haha.

crying over tutuHA & barbie gossip aqua

Yay, finally I have some time again to blog. So, do you remember the tutuHA shirt I bought?

Can you see what happened? The colour went off, especially that on those parts that appear as horizontal creases ; ;' (Since that kind of fabric is heavy and smooth, it's not suppose to have any vertical creases when it's hanging like that...) Actually those parts around the belly area that appear lighter ARE really that light because the colour went off. You might be able to see it well here, in the back.

Of course, it is kind of my own fault but I didn't expect the colour to go off so easily. I was wearing this top in summer, which means, hot and humid japanese summer. This shirt made me sweat a lot because it wouldn't soak up the sweat or anything (the fabric is really... plastic-like, which I even liked because it has a shiny effect, but I didn't know it would all end up like this ; ;).
Anyway, I'm quite disappointed by this shirt... I really like it and all I can do now is wear it beneath other shirts because I think if I wash it will even be worse.
Does anyone have similar experiences with tutuHA? I'd really like to buy more stuff from them but from now on I'll be more careful.

I bought a lot of stuff lately, like new lenses, that I'm eagerly waiting for and I was looking for new pants but I just don't really like those pants they sell here in Germany. Then again I'm unsure of how Japanese long pants would fit me. Most jeans in Shibuya 109 didn't fit ;<

I liked these, they had some キラキラ on them, and made the legs look more skinny, it was pretty awesome. Like a push up effect of some kind! Only more like a 'push fat away' effect. Will still be looking for more on days when university doesn't wear me out, because long, fitting pants are still a must for winter~

There's a pair of lenses I wanted to talk about: Barbie Gossip Aqua / Gossip Blue
(bought them here)

Comfort ★★★☆
Colour ★★☆☆
Overall ★★☆☆
I've been wearing them for about 10 months now, but they started hurting in one of my eyes when I wore them last week so I think I will be throwing them out. The comfort level was good first, as the colour is not too light (mostly in natural light it's not really visible, only the inner yellow ring stands out a lot), however, after a while they got dry easily. With 14.5mm they are rather big and have a 'natural' enlarging effect.
I suppose they were made for blue and green eyed-people so the colour blends in nicely. Though, on Purikura the colour shows up naturally and kind of nice on brown eyes, too.

I would recommend them to brown-eyed people only if you want a very subtle blue and if you like the idea of the inner yellow ring. That ring will make most people notice that you wear lenses, but almost no one will be able to guess the colour, haha. That's why I don't think I will buy them again.

As for the next posts, I will be trying to do more outfit-shots but it's so damn difficult if you don't have a full-body mirror at the new place ; ;'
